Wolfpak Polyfoam Acoustic Guitar Case Reviews 5

Product is black hybrid guitar case. I've played guitar for 40 years now. I occasionally play specials at church now. 35 years ago I played in a band in coffeehouses, revivals.

I purchased this from Musician's Friend for $80. This replaced a Breedlove hardshell case that had corroded hardware and was too heavy for me to want to replace with another hardshell case. It also replaces the Godin TRIC case I reviewed on 06/27/2010 that was sent back because it would not fit my guitar.

Lightweight to carry. Two padded shoulder straps. Built-in hygrometer to measure humidity levels. 4 exterior pockets, 3 of which zip closed. Plush interior

Haven't found anything I don't like about this.

This is a hybrid case. It is a rigid polyfoam shell with plush lining interior and nylon shell exterior. The nylon is a 1200 denier density, while most gig bags and hybrid cases use a 600-900 denier density nylon exterior, using a thicker exterior adds to the strength of the case, without adding appreciable weight.

Ordinarily, I recommend a hardshell case--especially for those who gig regularly and have the upper back strength to shlep around a heavy case. But for weekend warriors like me who don't want to spend money on chiropractors, the new breed of hybrid cases are just the thing. And this is the best of the hybrid cases that I've ever encountered.
